Super happy with my purchase!

I ordered a Camera Slider last week and it got here so fast, just 3 days! The quality is amazing, really smooth operation. This is going to make my shoots look so much more professional. I'm already planning my next order, probably a Follow Focus next. Definitely recommend this store to all my filmmaker friends!

Decent Shoulder Rig, some minor issues

I bought a Shoulder Rig from Proaim recently. The rig itself is pretty solid and comfortable, much better than my old one. It arrived in about 5 days which is standard for my area. My only minor gripe was that one of the knobs felt a little stiff when I first unboxed it, but it loosened up after a bit of use. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about assembly, which was good. Overall, a good purchase, but that one knob could be improved.

Ordered a Victor Cinema Dolly, here's my experience

I decided to go with the Victor Cinema Dolly for a new project. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I found it easy to navigate and add accessories. Shipping took about a week to get to my studio in Los Angeles, which was within their estimated timeframe. The packaging was robust, everything arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was surprisingly quick, even with the detailed components; the instructions were clear. The dolly itself is very well-built, feels sturdy, and the wheels are incredibly smooth on the tracks. I've used it on a few shoots already, and it performs flawlessly. I also contacted support with a question about track compatibility before buying, and they responded within a day with helpful information. No complaints about the quality or the process.

Good value for a Vest and Arm System

I was looking for a Vest and Arm System and Proaim had a pretty good offer going on when I checked. I signed up for their newsletter and got a 10% off code, which helped. Shipping was free because my order was over $100. Overall, I feel like I got a good deal. It wasn't the cheapest option out there, but with the discount and free shipping, it felt worth the price for the quality.

Thinking of grabbing one of their camera cages. How's the return policy if it doesn't fit my setup? Kinda worried about that.

R Renee 2 months ago
Returns were pretty straightforward for me. You just gotta send it back within 30 days, make sure it's unused. Got my money back no problem.

Yeah, I returned a follow focus a while back. Just follow their instructions on the site. They don't cover return shipping though, so keep that in mind.

hey, anyone know if Proaim ships to like, New York City? trying to get a dolly for a shoot next month.

C Carly 2 months ago
Yeah, they ship to the US. I got a slider delivered to LA last year, took about a week and a half.

They do, I'm in Brooklyn and ordered a jib from them. It arrived in about 8-10 days, if I remember correctly.

I'm looking at the Sky-Walker cable cam, but also considering a Kessler. How does Proaim stack up against Kessler Crane for quality?

S Steve Whitfield 2 months ago
Kessler is top-tier for sure, but Proaim offers really good value. I've got a Proaim jib and it's super solid for the price. Kessler might have slightly smoother movement on some things, but the difference isn't huge unless you're super nitpicky.

I've used both. Proaim is definitely more budget-friendly and still very capable. Kessler often feels a bit more refined, but for most projects, Proaim gets the job done reliably. Depends on your budget and how often you'll be using it.

Are Proaim products generally compatible with like, Arri cameras? Or mostly for smaller setups?

M Marcus 2 months ago
Totally. I use their stuff with my Alexa Mini. They build their gear to work with professional cameras, it's not just for DSLRs.

K Kate Nguyen 2 months ago
Yep, they usually list compatibility on the product pages but a lot of their gear is made with standard cinema mounting points. My Victor Dolly handles my Red no issue.

Does Proaim have payment plans or financing options for the more expensive stuff? A new full rig is a lot to drop at once.

N Nina Ito 3 months ago
I think they do. I remember seeing something about financing partners during checkout, like Affirm or something similar. Might be worth checking their payment options page.

S Sarah Reyes 3 months ago
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they offer financing. Look for it at the checkout page, usually a few different options for monthly payments.
